Made Me Feel Significant

Mr. Kohout was kind to me even when I met him 30 plus years ago as an insecure teenager. Instead of ignoring me because I was just his daughter’s friend, he was welcoming, sincerely interested in what was happening to me, and made me feel as if I was someone significant. This continued over the years even when we moved far away. Each time we returned for a visit to HGC, I was always glad to see his friendly face.

When I heard on Sunday that he had passed away, I grieved. I grieved for his family. Grieved for his church. Grieved for all who knew this good and godly man. Well done Mr. Kohout. Enjoy going further up and further in.
